Pharmedic Patient Sample Pickup Request Form

The Pharmedic Genetic Kits reveals the safest and most suitable medications for your body. By reducing drug interactions and eliminating trial-and-error prescribing, Pharmedic integrates genetic insights into personalized, data-driven patient care.
What is MediGene Pharmacogenomic (PGx) Testing?

Pharmacogenomics is the science that studies how a person’s genes affect the way their body responds to medicines.

Everyone’s DNA is slightly different, and these differences can influence:

• How quickly or slowly your body breaks down a drug.
• How effective a medication will be for you.
• Whether you might experience side effects or serious adverse drug reactions (ADRs).
What is NutriGene Nutrigenomic (PGx) Testing?

Nutrigenomics is the science that studies how a person’s genes affect the way their body responds to food, nutrients, and diet.

Everyone’s DNA is slightly different, and these differences can influence:

• How your body processes carbohydrates, fats, and certain vitamins. • How efficiently your body absorbs and uses nutrients. • How nutrition and lifestyle choices may impact your energy levels, metabolism, and overall wellness. • Personalized dietary and wellness recommendations tailored to your genetic profile.

How the Test Works
1. Order & Delivery of the Kit
• Once you request the test, a Pharmedic genetic screening kit will be sent directly to your home or clinic.
• Delivery is arranged through our approved courier partners, and you will be notified on the status and arrival date of your kit.
2. Sample Collection Options
•At-home saliva collection can be easily provided using the saliva collection kit and instructions are included within your personal kit.

3. Secure Laboratory Processing
• Your sample is transported to our DHA-approved laboratory in Dubai.
• The laboratory performs genetic testing, including sequencing using internationally ISO-accredited worflows and technologies.
4. Analysis Based on Your Add-Ons
• Depending on the package or add-ons you have chosen, the lab screens specific sets of genes related to how your body responds to those medications. This ensures the test customized to your health needs.
5. Report Generation & Delivery
• Once analysis is complete, a personalized report is generated.
The report includes:
• Personalized medication and dosage recommendations based on how fast or slow your body processes medications
• Insights into possible side effects or adverse drug reactions linked to your genetic profile • Guidance on which medications may be safer or more effective for you • Proactive treatment support to help reduce trial-and-error prescribing • Clinically guided recommendations designed to support physicians in interpreting and tailoring treatment plans for each patient
6. What Happens Next

• We provide genetic counselling support to help you better understand your pharmacogenomic and nutrigenomic results

• Your report can be reviewed with your physician, healthcare provider, or nutrition professional

• The results may help guide medication selection, dosage decisions, nutrition planning, and lifestyle recommendations tailored to your genetic profile
